Valerii Ivanovych Kodetskyi was born on February 25, 1969, in the village of Bilozerka, Kherson region. After finishing school in his hometown, he served in the military from 1987 to 1989.
In 1993, he obtained a higher education degree from the Kyiv Institute of Civil Engineering (KISI) specializing in "Industrial and Civil Construction," which laid the foundation for his future career in the construction industry.
After graduating from KISI, he continued his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, where he earned a master's degree in management and investment management. This experience proved crucial in the successful implementation of numerous infrastructure projects.
For his achievements and significant contribution to the development of Ukraine's construction industry, Valerii Kodetskyi has been honored with numerous awards. He was granted the title of "Honored Builder of Ukraine" and was named the winner of the 2014 national "Person of the Year" award in the "Entrepreneur of the Year" category. Additionally, he has repeatedly held top positions in ratings such as "Best Developer," "Effective Entrepreneur," and "Best Top Manager of Ukraine."
He is married and has a son.
Valerii Kodetskyi has extensive and successful experience in implementing and managing residential infrastructure projects in Ukraine's real estate sector.
His career began in 1993 as a marketing expert at "Danataus LTD." A year later, he became Deputy Regional Director at "Xenon," where he worked from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, he continued his career at the "Ukrainian Financial and Industrial Company," and later worked at "Zaporizhstal," holding key positions, including Deputy Director of Supply.
Since 2000, Valerii Kodetskyi has been actively engaged in investment and development activities in the real estate sector.
In 2006, he co-founded Ukrainian Development Partners (UDP), where he served as Managing Partner and CEO until 2017. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant success and completed numerous large-scale projects.
In 2010, he founded his own investment and development company, City One Development. In 2017, following the restructuring and reallocation of UDP group assets, Valerii Kodetskyi left the shareholders' group and focused on developing his own development brand – City One Development.
Since 2014, Valerii Kodetskyi has been actively involved in charitable initiatives.
The Charitable Foundation "Civil Solidarity 'UNITA'", founded by Valerii Kodetskyi, systematically provides assistance to orphaned children, medical institutions, and the military. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the foundation has also been extensively supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and residents of territories affected by enemy aggression.
In particular, following the liberation of Kherson, humanitarian aid was delivered to residents of frontline and de-occupied settlements, as well as those affected by the flooding caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station by Russian occupiers.
Upon targeted requests from Ukraine's Defense Forces, bulletproof vests, generators, electronic warfare equipment, SUVs, boats, radios, drones, construction materials, tools, mobile homes, and much more are purchased and delivered.
In total, over 100 different military units have already received direct targeted assistance. Additionally, a military hospital and several clinical hospitals have been equipped with modern medical equipment.
