Valerii Ivanovich Kodetskyi

Valerii Ivanovych Kodetskyi is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, investment manager, president of the City One Development group of companies, philanthropist, and founder of the "Civil Solidarity 'UNITA'" Charitable Foundation.
As one of the country's leading investors and developers, he has successfully implemented a number of landmark infrastructure projects in the capital, which are on par with the best global examples in their characteristics. Among these is the business-class residential quarter "Novopecherski Lypky" — a flagship comprehensive development project in Kyiv and the first to be created under the "city within a city" concept.
One of Valerii Kodetskyi's key areas of focus is the creation and development of industrial parks. In 2022, construction began on Ukraine's first float glass manufacturing plant within the "City of Glass" industrial park in the town of Berezan, Kyiv region. Additionally, at the end of 2024, City One Development launched the implementation of a second glass factory project in western Ukraine.

Biography

Valerii Ivanovych Kodetskyi was born on February 25, 1969, in the village of Bilozerka, Kherson region. After finishing school in his hometown, he served in the military from 1987 to 1989.
In 1993, he obtained a higher education degree from the Kyiv Institute of Civil Engineering (KISI) specializing in "Industrial and Civil Construction," which laid the foundation for his future career in the construction industry.
After graduating from KISI, he continued his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, where he earned a master's degree in management and investment management. This experience proved crucial in the successful implementation of numerous infrastructure projects.
For his achievements and significant contribution to the development of Ukraine's construction industry, Valerii Kodetskyi has been honored with numerous awards. He was granted the title of "Honored Builder of Ukraine" and was named the winner of the 2014 national "Person of the Year" award in the "Entrepreneur of the Year" category. Additionally, he has repeatedly held top positions in ratings such as "Best Developer," "Effective Entrepreneur," and "Best Top Manager of Ukraine."
He is married and has a son.

Career

Valerii Kodetskyi has extensive and successful experience in implementing and managing residential infrastructure projects in Ukraine's real estate sector.
His career began in 1993 as a marketing expert at "Danataus LTD." A year later, he became Deputy Regional Director at "Xenon," where he worked from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, he continued his career at the "Ukrainian Financial and Industrial Company," and later worked at "Zaporizhstal," holding key positions, including Deputy Director of Supply.
Since 2000, Valerii Kodetskyi has been actively engaged in investment and development activities in the real estate sector.
In 2006, he co-founded Ukrainian Development Partners (UDP), where he served as Managing Partner and CEO until 2017. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant success and completed numerous large-scale projects.
In 2010, he founded his own investment and development company, City One Development. In 2017, following the restructuring and reallocation of UDP group assets, Valerii Kodetskyi left the shareholders' group and focused on developing his own development brand – City One Development.

Charity

Since 2014, Valerii Kodetskyi has been actively involved in charitable initiatives.
The Charitable Foundation "Civil Solidarity 'UNITA'", founded by Valerii Kodetskyi, systematically provides assistance to orphaned children, medical institutions, and the military. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the foundation has also been extensively supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and residents of territories affected by enemy aggression.
In particular, following the liberation of Kherson, humanitarian aid was delivered to residents of frontline and de-occupied settlements, as well as those affected by the flooding caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station by Russian occupiers.
Upon targeted requests from Ukraine's Defense Forces, bulletproof vests, generators, electronic warfare equipment, SUVs, boats, radios, drones, construction materials, tools, mobile homes, and much more are purchased and delivered.
In total, over 100 different military units have already received direct targeted assistance. Additionally, a military hospital and several clinical hospitals have been equipped with modern medical equipment.

Projects

Under Valerii Kodetskyi's management, 1.2 million square meters have been built and commissioned, with another 600,000 square meters under construction and 1 million square meters in the design phase. Notable projects include:

Novopecherski Lypky Residential Complex – a business-class project with a total construction area exceeding 900,000 m². So far, 23 residential buildings have been completed and occupied, with the 7th and 8th phases under construction. This 25-hectare residential quarter features extensive infrastructure, creating a comprehensive urban "ecosystem" for over 12,000 residents. Each infrastructure facility in the complex is unique in its characteristics.
Boulevard of Fountains Residential Complex – a premium-class project covering 4 hectares, with a total construction area of 181,000 m². The project has been successfully completed. The exclusive City Resort concept was implemented within this project, allowing residents to enjoy suburban-style privileges while living in the heart of a modern metropolis.
The Light Residential Complex – a business-class project spanning 4 hectares with a total construction area of 177,000 m². The project is currently in its early construction stages.
Svyatobor Park Resort Residential Complex – a comfort-class project covering 4 hectares with a total construction area of 210,000 m². Three buildings have already been occupied, with the 6th and 7th phases under construction.
LeapKids Happiness Academy – an innovative, energy-efficient, high-tech next-generation kindergarten, completed in 2017.
GYMMAXX – a sports and wellness complex for the whole family, one of the largest sports centers in the country, completed in 2013.
